just tested my parameters and they are
Temp 79
Ph 8.3
Sg 1.025
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0.05
Nitrate 5
Ca 400
Alk 6
Mg 1360
Phosphate 0 - 0.01
All tested with red sea tests. My question is about the alk. Isn't that a little low?

People tend to keep their alk levels between 8-12 from what I’ve seen! 6 is a little low normally water changes replenish most the nutrients you need however if they does not work you could dose as well!

6 is a little low. I would prefer at least 7. A solution of RO and baking soda will raise it. I can help you calculate if you give us the tank size.

If the tank is a fish only, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Its 55g and I have 3 coral frags. Its a 4 month old tank and I hadn't tested alk in a while. It used to be between 8 and 9 but I had been using well water:rolleyes: without chlorine but I have since been using rodi and have done enough waterchanges to get rid of the well water.
