I spilled water in my power strip and could smell electrical smoke...talk about panic lol

Yeah!! Scary stuff! The first tank I ever owned was when I was in middle school. Within hours after putting a domino damsel in the tank I knocked the compact fluorescent light fixture into the tank and dove right in after it. Instant consequence. Lesson learned...or so I thought. At 28 I'm still making silly mistakes. The only difference was that I had no fear when I was younger.

Current FTS

Sorry for all of the pictures, but I just got the zoanthids in the tank and I also picked up a cardreader for uploading pictures from my Canon 3ti.

Close up of the Zoanthids. I don't believe the Fire and Ice to be the speckled variant so the FMV is 50$. The FMV for the Eagle Eye is 20$.

Total spent: 70$

Took a video this evening of my tank. I think I'm going to try to record a video once a week for the duration of the contest to show the tank's progression.

Just bought some more palythoa frags from Mr. Coral.

Purple People Eaters
Lord of the Rings
Sunny D's
Atomic Sunrises
Spidermans

I should hopefully be picking these up on Wednesday. I will post pictures of the frags and pictures of the prices off of my e-bay page after I pick them up.
The total of everything I've bought from Mr. Coral is $146.48. With the 50% off the total comes to $73.24.

Made a little basket/divider to put chaeto in one of the back chambers. Do you guys have any thoughts on chaeto in AIO chambers? Not sure if that little clip on LED will be enough light. Should I leave the light on 24 hours or just have it on during the night?

Link and Zelda

Snapped a few shots of my skunks Link and Zelda. They're feeling quite comfortable in the tank now and have that dog-like characteristic of clownfish.

Post editiing

Cropped the first picture, but I'm not allowed to edit the post. Anyone know how long before I'm able to edit my posts?

Ha, that's kind of cool. Price is outrageous though. Imagine the leds you could buy with that cash.

How did the corals look from mr coral? I just bought some from him and I have been worried because afterwards I have heard a lot of horror stories about him. Now I'm hoping everything i bought is good.

Well I haven't even picked them up yet. I've been trying to do a local pick up, but it's been a struggle. His communication is a little weak, but I'm not going to say anything until I get the stuff and check it out. He seems like a nice enough guy and he has a lot of good feedback on eBay. What have you heard?

New Frags

Drove down to Frederick to czech out a place called King of Corals. I was very pleased with this shop and will be going back. Had a very nice selection of corals with decent prices. Talked to the owner for a little bit and he was very nice and knowledgeable. Not sure of the names of these, but the red ones look similar to RPEs. I'm finally going to pick up my frags from Mr. Coral tomorrow evening. I'm excited, but also a little nervous as I have recently discovered a fair amount of negative feedback associated with this seller. However, I have also read a lot of very good feedback, so I'll report back about my experience with him.

Receipt

Here is the receipt, and I forgot to mention that the owner of King of Corals gave me a blue mushroom freebie for spending 50$ even though this promotion had ended a few days ago. :thumb:

Update

Ok, so I finally was able to meet up wtih Mr. Coral and pick up my frags last night. At first I just had them sitting on my sand bed, but this afternoon decided to to make a frag rack to put most of them on. Most of the polyps have opened up some and a few have not. Also the polyps are really really micro tiny small , so I'm still trying to figure out what I actually received. Two had come unglued from the plug ( one of which went down the drain while I was emptying water out of the bag :squigglemouth:) I'm almost positive I did not receive the purple deaths. He threw in a freebie red acro frag, which was nice. Here are a few pictures:
