I have two different Duncans from different suppliers. I had been noticing my Alk running around 7.8-8.0. I bumped up my klak a little and got it up to 8.3-8.4 over a few days. My duncans are both ticked. The larger one got ticked right away and has not opened back up. The smaller one has started to open up a little during the day, but is retracting a lot more than it used to. I have a pretty healthy mixed reef with all kinds of LPS, SPS, and some softies. Everything else is happy. There are no other corals nearby that I can see that would sting them. They are a good distance apart as well, so I do not think anythign is agitating them either. I did read that they are very sensitive to ALK. I had been running around 8.2-8.3 for a while and it slowly drifted down before I brought it up. They have been in the tank 7-8 months and have always looked good until this last week.
