Hey guys got this Duncan as a single frag back in April. I fed it reef roids twice a week and has since started growing multiple heads like crazy. Since then the tentacles have been very fat and short. Have you seen this before or it reacting to my parameters ?

Is there something sitting on it/bothering it? Mine looks like that for a little while after my little clown goby sits on it.

They do adjustments to their tentacles, similar to “bubble” anemone and I have not been convinced anyone knows why?

I figure they’re pretending to be sick or hungry and hoping thaT you will provide more reef roids.

Lol ok. It’s doing fine and growing like a weed just wondered what’s crazy is when I bought my first coral pack. It was a beginner pack with no labels. It was shrunken for days and popped out and I was so happy to have one. Seems to be very simple and my fav coral to target feed. It grabs food so much.

I just got a duncan never seen mine bubble tip like that. Glad to hear its doing well. Does anyone know if they tend to stay open all night as well? Mine seem to.

Mine mostly closes at night but stays partially open.
Good to know, mine seems to be staying almost fully open but ill have to check again after the lights have been off longer than im usually up?

I have never seen my Duncan pull in and puff like that, and mine is fed daily with mysis and veggie pellets, it is also in medium flow and hosted by two Clowns.
How is the flow and lights where it sits right now? It is a good sign it is growing new heads!

Mine sometimes does that when it's irritated by my cleaner shrimp, or sulking after I do a water change. Are your parameters in check?
