I recently set up a desktop tank that I want to keep a dwarf Angel fish in. I've always had clams in my tanks so I have steered clear of Angels and I don't plan on adding any clams to this tank. What do you all recommend for a good looking reef safe fish that is less than say $40? I am not interested in a Coral Beauty, I've had one way back and I wasn't impressed with them.

I wish there was a "reef safe" angelfish! They will nip at zoas/palys, chalices, acroporas, etc... Try to get one from the centropyge complex, they are cheap, and easy to find (except for resplendens)

Well I'm sorry to tell you that there is no reef
safe dwarf angels. It's all depending on the fish. I would go with a true hawaii flame angel from
Pia!

My Cherub never touched any coral, loved him so much till he committed suicide. My other choice's would be a Flame or Potter's.

Yeah I know with the Angels there are some bad apples... I was actually thinking of ether a Cherub, Potters, Eibl's, Half Black, or Lemonpeel but I can't make up my mind.

African flame back is my favorite. I get compliments all the time when hobbyists look at my tank
