DYI OPtions for Klir

Anyone come up with a way to incorporate one of these mat roller into a 20 gallon standard aquarium sump or bigger aquarium?

I believe the klir has an optional stand. Theiling has a hang on the side setup. I've ran with out socks for 4 months now and to be honest I'm not sure these are worth the money. If anything I think a diy version would be worth it.
