What is the inside dimension of the pipe that returns the water. I just got this skimmer for 50 bucks and it blows water everywhere. I was wanting to put an elbow and direct the water down below the water level as if I don’t salt creep will be horrible. It’s splashing everywhere. It has lots of micro bubbles but that I’m not concerned with as it will stop with break in. I know this will cause back pressure on the pump directing the water below the fill line and loose a little performance but it’s only a75 gallon tank ave skimmer is rated for 150-200. 1 inch is too small and 1.25 is too big. Proprietary size perhaps? Suggestions on how to plumb the return to flow down into the water level? The first picture is after ally 48 hrs which it’s working good once i can fine tune it. The other pictures dim I’m sorry shows how the water is gushing out. And for the record i can’t raise my sump water level.

If I understand your situation, it would seem that you would want to raise the level of the skimmer in relation to the water level in the sump (or at least it may be one thing to try).

...regarding the size of the pipe, there is a good chance that it is metric sizing.
