What to you all think? I have been a fan of the Eagles since 1st grade. They sign Michael Vick and I don't know if I can be a part of that. People deserve a second chance, I know that, but it hurts knowing what he did to those defenseless animals. I realize this is about more than just Michael Vick, it is bigger than that. I just wish he wasn't on my team. I can't tell by watching him if he is really sorry or if he is just saying all the right things so he can play ball.

I am not a Michael Vick fan neither an Eagles fan. But seriously, look at the ****** bag that killed someone because they were drunk, spent what 28 days in jail and suspended without pay for one year. Just think about what people do that people don't know about. Vick just got caught. Anyways, I am glad the Eagles stepped up and gave Vick a job. Good for them and the Eagles. Also remember one thing, The eagles are not YOUR team. hehehehehe. Your attitude will change when he brings the Eagles to a victory during regular season and even maybe the playoffs...
If I see him invest some of his money and time into a rehabilitation center for dogs that have been abused - my attitude will change. Talk is cheap at this point. I am sure he will be a spectacle on the field, I've watched him run all over my wahoos since he was at VT.
I'm not a big football fan, but my boyfriend sure is. He doesn't think it was a good thing not just because of what he did, but cause he wasn't that good of a player to start with. He'd have to give you all the stats, even though he's told me time and time again, they just don't stick with me. lol.
I really don't think he deserves another chance and those other players who do horrible things literally get away with murder. It's stupid. Everyone should be treated the same no matter if they are famous or not.

browns....as for stallworth, the only reason he got any jail time was because he had been drinking. if there was no alcohol involved nothing would have happend at all. the guy he hit was trying to catch a bus and ran across the freeway in front of him. again, not saying he was right in drinking and driving, but since the one he hiy played a large role in the accident it definately helped him in court.
Gotcha, but if that was me, I would be in jail for 10 years at least for manslaughter.
Yeah. BUt I am interested to see how the fans welcome Vick on opening day. I am sure it will not be pretty
Lets not forget Vick woke up every day and made a conscious decision to hang, electrocute, and kill dogs over and over and over....:squigglemouth:

my understanding is that if he is not proactive with the Humane Society and Animal Rights Groups during his tenure with the Eagles than he's gone. It's only just beginning for Vick as far as his debt to these animals are paid off, sure he paid his debt to society but now the real works starts and this is coming not only from a life long Eagles fan but somebody who has 11 rescued cats and three retired Racing Greyhounds and who firmly believes in Animal Rights, let his actions off the field do the talking

He got off lightly, but all pro athletes do. Does the name Leonard Little ring a bell? The guy can't help driving drunk.. even after killing some lady. 90 days for an involuntary manslaughter conviction, nevermind that his BAC was .19. He did his 1000 hours of community service making the rounds at the AA and MADD.
Sure, his story gets printed in the sports magazines a few years later. They write about how tough it is for him to bear the anguish, and that's why he could never bring himself to talk to the victim's family.. the usual sympathy for a guy who made a mistake and has to live with the consequences for the rest of his life.
Then he's arrested in '04 for speeding, and the cops note the bloodshot eyes and the smell of alcohol on him. He fails three field sobriety tests... and the b'**** gets away with it again. I swear, the prosecutors have no backbone. I know NFL GMs don't.
I used to keep an eye out for crazy Leonard Little when I lived in St. Louis. There was no telling when he'd get wasted and go speeding over a hill again.
