Earthquake!!

I thought that, it was like a 5.9 which is nothing to CA. I do not know if I could take the uncertainty of earthquakes we have hurricanes here on the east coast but we know days before hand one is coming.

Hahaha... I would take an earthquake over a hurricane everytime. Earthquakes are over within minutes, and I'd rather be a little surprised than having to wait and wait and wait for a potentially life threatening storm to come through, or having to evacuate a home. In the US, earthquakes are rarely lethal because of building codes (same thing can't be said of hurricanes). But to each their own... I guess it's just what you're familiar with.

The one thing I worry about for you east-coasters is I'm sure your building codes aren't meant to withstand large earthquakes. I hope everyone is okay.

I guess some people felt it here in CT, I guess I missed it. I didn't know anything until I heard it on the radio like an hour later.

I was looking top down on my tank, holding a floating acrylic viewer and I thought, wow..my MP40 rocks, it makes my whole body move. Then I ran upstairs from my basement at once, when I realized Its an earthquake!

Felt it sitting in my office in downtown Louisville, KY! Sitting with a colleague, she starts to yell.... "Oh my God!! We're moving....we're moving!"

Just sat there thinking...that's an aftershock from somewhere...or someone just ran into the building. But it kept shaking intermittently for about 30 sec.
