I have a jbj 30 gallon tank lit by a kessil a350. I was wondering what sps would be good for the tank if any. Im torn between a hollywood stunner chalice or a monti cap once things get a bit more stable.

What are your parameters?
I dont plan on getting any atm but when I do I will check if everything is good. Also my salinity is kinda low so im waiting for it to go back up

Stick with cheap aquacultured such as some ORA or stags, etc.
Would a montipora setosa be a good pick, or should I start with a monti cap? ora has both available Why is aquaculture preferable?

Monti cap will be safer. For 30g tank kessil a360 can support a whole bunch of sps types. Your par value will be way above 200 in top or middle of the tank
I would be more concerned with alkalinity and genera water chemistry more, assuming your tank is stable

bring salinity up if it is low. make sure alk, cal, mag is stable. and you can try green slimer acropora, bird nest , monti digitata

Im tirn between getting a birdsnest or a monti cap. Which one do you think is better?

+1 to the birdnest idea... I picked up a decent size frag of one for $15 when a guy was chopping his down. I have very low light and medium flow in my tank and it's actually doing great

I though they needed more flow and light?
