I tried that... watched every item disappear last second..
Easy on the attitude, wasn't knocking you guys, more towards eBay..
I'll just swing by the shop and pay full price..

I was just joking no worries. Its not that hard really to win you just have to bid in the last few seconds the most your willing to pay, not just a little over the current bid.

I can say that as the auction was winding down, I was one who kept upping the bids to win what I want. Once something got past numbers where I wanted to be $ wise, I let it go..
Perfect example was the WWC Piranha. I started bidding about the $75 mark and one other guy and I went at it back and forth to final bid price (I think) of $191. That $120 jump maybe took 5 minutes.... In the last 5 mins of the auction...
Just bidding on something doesn't mean you are going to win... Why they call it an auction... Otherwise, they have a "Buy it now". Click that, and it's yours...

That's the beauty of setting your max price from the start. I see a piece I like, decide the max amount I want to spend and bid that amount. Takes some of the impulse out of it.

A dollar was probably the minimum bid increase. He could of had his bid in at $75, but since you were next highest at $26 eBay only ups it by the smallest bid increase.

I'm lucky enough to just go by the shop whenever I get the itch...
I hate letdowns so I'll likely not bid any more and just pay at the store
