So I got an mp10qd from a fellow reefer on here works fine no problem. This is my first mp pump from ecotech so my question is this:

5mm glass with spacer attached,
Will you hear a vibration noise with this pump if aligned up? If you put your ear to the glass you can hear
What sounds like a jackhammer underwater.
Is that normal?
Thanks

Opened up the wet side is this normal?
Seems like a piece missing from bottom of shaft?

It should be fairly quiet and hum. Wet side looks fine. May be alignment issue or may/may not need spacer. I would remove the spacer. The magnet may have issue catching wet side and the slipping sound is what you are referring to as a jackhammer.

I'll try that and see if that works, since it's 5 mm and low iron I hope that solves the issue.
Thanks
