Eel only 75

So I’m going to do an eel only 75. So they say for a snowflake that gets 24” a 75 is fine, but a chain link that only gets 18” needs a 120. Why?

I just looked up chain links and it says they get up to 28-30 inches as adults.

You should always have an eel in a tank they can stretch out to their full length and swim around in. So if you have a 2 foot adult eel your tank should at least be double that size length. Are you doing more than one? Because a snowflake would be okay in that 75 by itself. More than one eel at least a 6 foot long tank. I have 4 morays in my 300 8 foot tank and they love to swim

Yes they do, they are a lot bigger than people think!!

Just one eel by its self. The 75 is a standard 48”x18”. I have the lids, filters, and nice big cave rock I found at my local store. I have the rock in a tub with a powerhead right now. Going to put sone PVC under the rocks.

The description of the chainlink I saw was 18”full grown. I’m probably just going to go snowflake, easy to find, tanks fine.

yeah chain links are larger than 18 inches! I love my snowflake I love her.
