Hey guys, I have a snowflake eel about a foot long. I used to have 2 clowns and 2 blue eyed cardinals and a lawnmower blenny (?not sure the last part of the name). However now, I only have 1 blue-eyed cardinal and a lawnmower. My tank is only a month old and I'm at cross roads. While my eel has been a pain in the *** and eaten 3 of my fish, I have still grown attached to him and am not sure what to do. I went to my LFS and the guy said to just get big fish and make it a giant fish tank, which is not what i want. He also said that the eel was going to destroy the reef that I want to eventually build. Other than the fact he is picking off my fish, is the eel really going to destroy my potential reef?

Yea little more info on the tank. Also for only being a month old that's a lot of animals to add. Also feeding the eel every 2-3 days will help keep from chasing your fish and eating them.

I have a fimbriated eel in my reef. He would eat a fish that is small enough and that he can get a hold of. Not destructive to the reef at all other than liking to dig and bury things.

@ revhtree and @_alex_ My tank is 55g, and i do feed my eel every day along with the rest of the fish. And correction with the age of the tank is 3 months old.
