Love mine too. I initially bought another brand and couldn't stand it. It felt cheaply made, and was extremely loud.

The Eheim Feeder is well built, easy to program, easy to load food into, and is extremely quiet. One recommendation: purchase it with the plastic piece that dispenses the food below water.

I could use another one though I find this particular model goes through the AA battery rather quickly.

I have two of these feeders on separate tanks. One feeds flakes and the other feeds pellets. The hold down bracket as mentioned only opens to 3/4 inch. However, I cut the plastic back so it would fit on a 1 inch board. Works great. I am away from home at times up to 3 weeks and neither have failed me and the food holder can hold over a months worth of small pellets.
