Eheim reeflexUV Sterilizer

Has anyone use these for their reef tanks? Are they worth looking in to? Hard to find much about these for reviews. Thought I ask since Eheim is reputable company for freshwater tanks.. I am looking for a UV to add to my 125 gal DT(total 185 gal system) build. I have a Octo Varios 2 pump for flow (recirculating loop).

Well you do not have to buy a Eheim bulb so that is a plus, I guess if the wattage is good go for it, I wanted to use one on my nano so I would used the lowest wattage unit.
I would think you would need a minimum of a 25 watt unit.

Biggest Eheim makes is 24 Watts, so that would be close. I know some UV are more effective then others. Are you saying I can use non Eheim bulbs, interesting

I have been running an Eheim reeflexUV 1500 for 4 years or so. It doesn't appear to leech any substances and is rated for saltwater, which means you don't have to worry about corroding parts.

Unfortunately it is really difficult to say if a UV sterilizer is properly doing its job... All I can say is, that it didn't cause any problems and that changing the light bulb was relatively easy.

The 800 would be slightly too small, so I would get the reeflexUV 1500 or reeflexUV+e 1500 for wifi control.

Eheim. I didn't want to risk buying something that doesn't fit or would cause other problems.
