I have a saltwater mixing station in which I have a heater that I am having trouble finding a way to plug in. I currently run the heater's electrical cable threw the top opening of the saltwater tank, my problem is, my mixing station is in the laundry room. I can not have the top opened all the time because of the risk of having laundry detergent spilling in the tanks. Moving the tank is not an option either because of were the water supply is in my house. I was wondering if there is a way to have a electrical bulkhead of some sorts so that I can run the power cable out the tank while having the lid closed. Any ideas are welcomed.

Nothing a uniseal, small piece of pvc pipe with a cap attached can't fix. I'd recommend at least a 1" hole and uniseal so you have enough room to get the plugs through.

You will need to drill a hole in the cap to fit the cable grommet. As long as that hole is bigger than your heater or the plug it should be fine.

Sure it will work, but it may not be "secured" to the tank itself, unlike a uniseal would be. Probably not an issue so it may not matter. As @lapin said, you would have to drill the cap/lid unless it's made of rubber and flexible.

Thank you all for your help, I installed the cable grommet and it ended up pretty neat. I went with the grommet instead of the uniseal just because I had only one cable coming out of the tank, If I add more equipment in the future, Ill go with the uniseal. Thanks again..Here is how it ended up.
