Thought I would ask my reefing fam for advice on how to achieve my goal. Currently I have my xbox connected to my gaming monitor. But, the monitor does not have built in speakers and I don’t want to have to wear headphones when I’m not playing a multiplayer game. My gaming computer has a really nice sound card that I wish to utilize but currently my computer speakers are plugged into the 3.5mm output from my monitor so I can hear my xbox. I want to be able to have both the xbox and the sound card connected to the speakers instead of the computer going through the hdmi and out the monitor. Do I need a dual male 3.5mm to a single female splitter or would a 2 in to 1 out switch need to be used? Feel free to post links to products you suggest.
