Had this elegance for a while, it has been happy until a month ago where it has been slowly declining. Went on a trip and came back to aptasia bloom, red planaria which was already there, and the rocks covered in bubble algae. I had some bubble algae before leaving but it got worse. I have another larger elegance that is happy and open, as usual. One is Aussie the other is Indonesian, i dont know which is which. I also have two gonis that were surviving before the trip, but are now closed because of the red planaria and aptasia. I will remove that, but I have had issues like this in the past when I didn’t have pests. My baby elegance has proceeded to polyp bail-out but the polyp itself is fine, I will check parameters and try to fix, and change carbon, and remove pests.. but this has happened before when everything is perfect. Is it a bacterial issue, or calcium or something else? My two torches are really happy, so i’m stumped. Also just noticed a tiny bit of brown what I hope isnt bjd on the affected elegance. Gonis have none, but I assume its nutrients and pests causing issues since the algae bloom happened. Heres some pics, please do ask any questions.

Water changes and siphon out the planaria are obviously the safest way forward.

If the bjd is present then you need to treat the tank with cipro asap.

And the clownfish may be annoying the LPS so that they are not thriving?

They sleep in the elegances only, lately it has only been the larger one, and hasnt affected it at all. In the past, it was both, maybe the clowns annoyed it, couldn’t tell you since I was on a trip. I’ll suck out some planaria and use some f-aptasia tomorrow, right now i’m cleaning out the sump for my new 180 gallon waterbox 😂
