ELOS mag test kit

so i have a feeling i wasted 30$ on this test kit because i just tested the mag level in my tank 24 hours ago it was at 1550 and now today when i test it after no water changes and adding at least 6 or 7 lil spoon fulls of tech M and now its giving me a reading of 1250...

has anyone else had bad experiences with these test kits?

Mine's always been pretty consistent. I did have a problem once though, when I slipped up and used 5ml of test water instead of the prescribed 3ml

It has worked well for me. I have not had any problems and has been consistent.

when ur adding in drop by drop if you add 10 drops swirl it add 10 more swirl it and then add 1 by 1 after that would that mess up the test? because i know the first one is going to be up in the 30 drop range i dont like to waste time going drop by drop swirling it as i go until i at least get to 20...
