Morning,

I have a 120g tank. I have 4 Emerald crabs. The other day my partner seen one eating my new sponge, he pulled him off. Today, I don't know if it's the same one lol but he was eating a coral it looked it. I don't know if he was picking small hair algae or eating the coral. I did not see algae on it. Seems like he was digging in good, it was a crusting coral.

Can Emerals get a taste for corals?? I removed him and placed him in time out. He's in the refug. bad boy

It's my opinion that just about anything you put in your tank can become not reef safe. Sometimes inverts become opportunistic feeders in the absence of enough food ime.
