Are emerald crabs supposed to shed shell? I think one of mine has. I've always kept them but never experienced this. Is it bad or good?

Yes thank you. No I see him under some rubble rock hiding shedding I would never bother him I just think it's cool. I always have seen my skunks do it never my emeralds.Yes, they are like an insect. In order to get bigger the exoskeleton must be shed. This is a stressful time for them. I would leave them alone and hands out of the tank. They are also very vulnerable for a period after shedding, their skeleton must harden. Hope that helps.
