I had bought a holy grail torch about 3 weeks ago, when I tried to get it off the plug I believe the skeleton cracked. I put a bit of glue and all was well, until today I’m not sure but it looks like brown jelly might be coming from the crack???? Is this possible???

Sorry maybe I should add,
That on Friday I had a tiger torch get attacked by something, it was injured.
I observed it and noticed it was getting worse. I got it out did a water change, ran carbon right away. I was up until 4 am.
the next day two of my fish got ich, I took care of the ich.
on Sunday one of my torches began to look bad. And noticed it was exposing the skeleton. The next morning it was half off and brown jelly.
I turned everything off and removed the torch. And just now I noticed this.
Alk 8.45
Calcium 400
Mag1371
Phosphate .04
Nitrate 10 ppm
Low/ moderate flow
Bottom of tank.

BJD will cause tissue necrosis. If you pull it from the water you WILL be able to smell it rotting. If it is rotting and you have more than one mouth I’d frag it and toss the infected tissue. If it’s only a single mouth with BJD I guess dipping it is the best you can do but the outlook is grim.

Looks a-ok. Anytime if you would get BJD, siphon it off coral with a 2/6" or 1/4' tube

I’m in La - I can take It off your hands for you lol.

j/k. It doesn’t look like brown jelly in the photo, but I agree with above. Take it out and smell it. If it’s brown jelly it will stink. You could try a dip with Lugo’s. It could help. But from my experience once it had BJD it’s a goner. Hopefully it’s not BJD. Good luck my friend.

So question let’s say tomorrow there is more of this crap, what should my next step be ? Dip it?
what if it’s only on the base ? I just want to know how to act quick?
