Endearing Pet Moments

So.. my kitty (Whooshi) always does the cutest things that make my heart melt! One thing that I love, is when I'm not paying her any attention, and she'll run in front of me and throw herself on the ground at my feet for me to pet her. Even when I'm in a hurry, this is just to cute to pass up! And where I am.. she is sure to follow!

What are some of the things that your pets do, that pulls at your heart strings? :kiss:

My youngest cat Taz, who is also my trouble maker likes to snuggle up with me while I am sleeping. Last weekend I had fallen asleep on the couch, when I woke up in the morning I found him curled up sleeping in my arms.

well let me tell you...lol! I have 4 cats all rescued. One cat, Elsee is a black and white. She props herself up on my or whatever and sits like a buddha. Then she cleans one particular nipple of hers to death. lol. Or she will let me rub her belly and flop over until she falls asleep.

Then I have Kali, she is wall-eyed and she talks ALL OF THE TIME. She also likes to cuddle and is the sweetest lap kitty. Just looking at her you can't pass up a quick cuddle!

Then there's Puff. She is kind-of your typical cat. Except she stands up on her hind legs for you to pet her. She also creeps. By creeping I mean when you're sitting down doing something, she will slowly, and I mean super slowly, crawl onto your lap like you won't notice her or something. Then, once she's on your lap, she starts purring and looks all satisfied with herself.

And last but not least, CiCi. Cici loves EVERYONE. She is the greeter of the house. Whenever someone comes over to see the tank, she demands attention. She also likes kids alot. She is snuggly and whenever you call her name she meows and comes running....and strangely, if I leave the door open when I go pee, she runs to the bathroom and has to be in there with me. lol!

First of all, Barry and Beans are cute as buttons! That is awesome that you rescued them! I rescued my Whooshi, too. :bigsmile:

And I love the stories of Elsee, Kali, Puff, and Cici! They seem to fit right in with their description, lol. Too cute! :kiss:

Anyone else want to share some heart tugging characteristics of your pets? I'm a softy when it comes to animals!

I have a female English Springer Spaniel named Kay. She demands attention at all times. When you pet her and stop petting her she will take one of her paws, wrap it around your arm and pull it towards her chest or head, wherever she wants to be petted. Sometimes she will use her mouth as a paw as well. She will gently grab your hand or arm with her mouth and pull it to wherever she pleases. She will do this every time you stop petting her and she can reach your hand or arm. If she can not reach either of them she will stare at you and then throw her paw up on the couch,chair,table,whatever she can put it on nearby you and slam it on it repeatedly until you pet her, then she will stop.

My older cat will actually do that to me when he wants attention, he will reach out with his paw and try to pull my arm towards him. It is funny how demanding our pets can get :smile:

Hahaha yea, here is a picture of her trying to stay awake but she is long gone. She does this all the time as well.

A friend of mine and fellow reefer, DKnuckles, has two Dobermans that must be petted at all times. If you even begin to put your hands in your pockets, they will put their noses between your arm and pants and force your hands out your pockets with a quickness. I now have to put my hands on top of my head when I look at his reef tank. I've never seen a dog look so serious until I deprived them of constant petting.

Here its a picture of my guys the orange one is Taz my youngest 6 months old adopted from the humane society, and the other is Riley. He is 12 years old, I have had him since he was 4 years old. He had been found left in a parking garage at MSU when he was a kitten.

This is my fourteen year old chocolate lab Kahlua. My favorite thing is to this day she still still hops around like she's a little puppy. The funniest thing a couple years ago I cut her nails shorter than normal...I have tile floors in the living room and I was laying on the couch. You can normally hear her nails tap the floor but this time she came around the couch and brushed my arm. She scared me so bad and I almost fell off the couch! It was hilarious!

My twin Golden Retriever daughters, who love to chase wildlife down and bring in the house as trophies. Well, just 3 rabbits so far.

My parents' black lab and corgi will do the same thing in their backyard. Although they usually don't bring them back into the house. One time my mom found the corgi in the backyard continually flipping something in the air. It had turned out to be a vole that he had caught.

For all you cat owners out there, does your cat do the "Litter Box Celebatory Run"? Every time Whooshi (pic on pg 1) uses the litter box, she takes off like a wild thing! She runs around the house so fast her back end swings around the corner! I never knew cats could Tokyo Drift! :wink: Anyways, we looked this up online, and it said they do this in celebration!? Totally hilarious!

Hmm haven't noticed if they do that, although my litter box is in the bathroom. Anytime I go in there at least one cat if not both decide that they need to use the litter box, a very curious thing.
