I didn't learn how to play until college and then I got into chess in a really big way. Studied books, magazines, etc. I even ended up getting adopted by a nice couple but the husband ended up leaving my adoption mom and me. Anywho, I ended up traveling around the nation winning chess tournaments to pay for our cost of living. Eventually, I had to play a famous Russian and ended up beating him.

Wow, Cody it's amazing how much your life parallel's Netflix's "Queen's Gambit."

It's a terrific show, worth binge watching.
