Engineer goby in 45gl tank?

I went to the lfs and was told an engineer goby would get to big for my tank.
Is that the case?
I currently have
2blue spot cloud damsels
1bangaii cardinal.

If i only had the goby in there and corals would it work?
Even of he did get 12" ... hed have all the space to himself.

Any opinions? :)

I would rather see an engineer goby in a larger tank, probably 60+ gallons or so.
