I just got these torches and hammers, but I am thinking that they are getting too much flow? Can anyone give me a second opinion?

Looks a little high to me although I am curious to see what others say on it as I am still figuring mine out. The Hammer is closed so hard to say if its too much. It may be closed because of too much flow or some other reason.

Others may not be able to se the videos maybe try and upload them to youtube and add a link.

P.S. Holy Aptasia btw.

I added the videos in a different way in case that can help others see them.

Do you have any wrasse? If not maybe try some Berghia Nudibranchs. They won't hurt bubble tips but will wipe out Aptasia. Only negative is some fish will eat them.
I am planning to get 5 berghias soon, currently using kalk paste and siphoning to remove them right now.

I can’t see videos. But I have my torches at sps level of flow in the tank. As long as it’s constantly alternating they absolutely love it. Remember torches are found in shallow tide pools with a lot of random flow.

My hammers are all the way at the bottom with pure gentle flow and you’ll know it’s the right place when you get good polyp extension and sweepers.

The hammer flow may be too one directional as it is not open all the way. That being said, sometimes it does not open just because it was moved or its getting used to the tank, or adjusted to the light, etc. I would say give it 3-4 days and if it looks the same as now let us know. Its hard to tell if its enough flow or too much until it opens up more.

IMO, too much flow. I see some people get away with this, but I'd be a lot happier with HALF that much flow.

It is sitting under my power head, not getting blasted. Also, it is definitely opened up now.
