So I went to place another “buy again” order on Amazon for the trusty old Oatey putty “Fix it Stick” 2 part epoxy. It appears that this is no longer available. I went to Home Depot and Lowe’s and both were out of stock.

I am curious what all you other SPS growers are using??

Not sure if there is any difference (also more of an LPS person), but JB Weld Waterweld works well for me and is usually at Home Depot.

I use TLF aquastik
For putty I use Tunze coral gum.
Thanks for the tips! I’d feel better using a putty that’s for the reef trade even though the Oatey putty wasn’t. I am too Leary of introducing a new product that may build up toxins.

Fair enough… I keep Tunze coral gum instant too for fast curing. For what it’s worth Waterweld is safe for residential potable water if you need something quick.

It sets up hard and fast like 60 seconds and is super easy to mount frags that wont come off.
A couple I just did a few days ago.

Ya the coral gum is crazy fast… gotta mix and move :)

I've had interesting issues/findings with Tunze Coral gum. And that is, nothing much grows over it. Very few corals, no coralline, not even nuisance algae.
