Eunic worm (I think) questions

Yeah, that's sort of what I was hoping to hear but for this instead of just a bristleworm :) I also had a CBS and saw it with a worm already mostly inside it, and his pinchers holding the rest and he just slowly pulled it from the rock as he ate. IF they would eat these as well I'd risk my cleaner shrimp and add a CBS, at least for awhile and then trade it. My cleaners are pretty large and the tank is also large so it could work out ok anyway.

I guess it’s like any critter, some will eat what you want them to and some won’t. CBS can be ******s. Ours is. He harasses everyone. He might be taking a trip back to the lfs soon.

Agreed there :( I have had many through the years and was lucky. The last tank before we had to tear down to move all went well for a couple of years, then the CBS decided it liked cleaner shrimp meat :( I still like them, and maybe willing to give it a shot if it would hunt down any remaining worms, but in the end I prefer having cleaner shrimp all over that jump on my hand to say hello, lol.

Why not just feed them instead of murdering them? I had a Eunice Worm that lived in a rock covered in GSP. He was awesome. He would attach items to his rock and build tunnels out of anything he could grab. It was crazy how strong that little guy was. I fed him mysis and silversides.

It was a little unnerving how he could shoot out of that rock but he was the coolest.

Feed them? LOL, no :) I'm not going to stress over them to the point of tearing anything apart, but will remove them on the possibility it may be predatory. Worms without that face can stay :)

I agree they are cool though. Critters make our systems more fun.
