Euphylias growth.

Hello friends, I wanted to ask for their recommendation and views on this family of corals in my tank I have Hammers, Frogspawn, Torch.

They all look very healthy and extend their polyps, however growth is practically none.

My parameters are Ca 450
Kh 10 to 11
mg 1450
No3 0.25
po4 0.08

The lights are Ai Prime, the photoperiod is 10 hours per day with a 18500K temperature for 8 hours 20 minutes.

Every week the euphylias food with Coral Frenzy 1 mm.

Note .: The other corals, especially SPS if they have a good growth rate.

What can be the cause of my euphylias not grow?

Magnesium is supposed to be 1200-1300. Torches and hammers are medium growers while frogspawn you should get a new head maybe two every couple months. Sometimes one a month. If your sps are doing fine and growing well then try to move around the euphyllias.

My magnesium always remains at the mine level , as I do to lower it ? None of my euphylias grows and less at the pace you say.

Not low kh. I think with you no3 is to low for that high kh.

If anything your alk is a little high -
Chronic low alk will result in membrane recission and shrinking heads - the coral will actually grow smaller if at all.

Natural seawater is in the range of 7-7,6 dkh - I shoot for 7.6-8 although many reefers go up to 11.

I tend to agree that the nitrate is a bit low for optimal growth. Euphilias are not particularily sesitive to excess nitrate and I have seen them thrive at 100x your level.

I know of some large public aquariums with nitrate levels in the mid teens in their coral displays, but with a sps mix I'd be easily confortable in the 5-10 range depending on whether algae is an issue or not.

Ok, then I recommend my kh down and if possible raise No3? that the measures I recommend to see growth in Euphylias and not affect the SPS.

These measures are based on use table recommended Red Sea.

High import high export seems to be key, definitely dont want to strip your water of nutrients. If I get too low (<1) I will dose no3 to bring it up, but i prefer to just feed the tank more.
