Hey all, so I was given a tank that my partner found on the side of the highway. It was in decent shape, had a heavy duty mesh lid, and initially held water when he tested it. Once I got it home to my house (we're long distance 6 hours) I noticed that the silicone was in pretty rough shape, and decided to take it apart and rebuild it. I'm finally finished deconstructing it and removing old silicone, and I was wanting to Eurobrace it, but I wasn't sure if there was a good online source for glass. The two glass places I know of in town both hemmed and hawwed before saying they weren't comfortable cutting a single piece of 1/2" glass like the image below. (I'm not ruling out just getting strips of glass from them if nothing else, just wanted to try to find a single piece to brace it for strength.)

Beyond looking for a reliable source online, I wanted to get some opinions on if my specs seem like they'll work out for a Eurobrace, or if I need to make a few small changes to add strength. Thanks in advance!

hi not to be rude save your time and work and money, buy a new tank jmo

I have experience building tanks, as well as other odds and ends, I could ultimately just put a new plastic rim on it instead and call it done, but I'm a big fan of the rimless look that eurobracing will give. I'm not worried about reconstructing the tank with fresh silicone. It's arduous but worth the time for the happiness and accomplishment I'll get out of this project :)

understand plastic rim will cost as much as tank though ,have fun thats the name of the game happy reefing
