I have been running a 1/2" vivid aquatics random flow generator in my Evo 13.5 nano tank for the past ~4 years. Pump is a mightyjet mini. Corals are softies and LPS (GSP, hammers, mushrooms, leathers, etc.).
As everything has grown in, there is less "open water" than in the past and I'm starting to find it difficult to position the rfg nozzle in a way that doesn't directly blast corals while also giving sufficient circulation throughout the tank.
Have been thinking of switching to dual 1/4" rfgs in hopes that might give me a little more flexibility to "position" some flow in two directions, if you know what I mean. Any thoughts on that idea, other considerations to take into account before making the switch?
