They have some corals I want, but until I hear good things and get my phosphates stable and let my coral I have already grow out I'm not ordering anything or falling in love with anything.
Tropical island aqaurium is a local store to me. I live on an island so things are naturally expensive here, but this store is immaculately kept, and the prices in store are excellent. I regularly miss out winning his auctions because I fall asleep, I just go to the store next day and he will give me a piece anyway for a price. All the tanks are very clean and everything in store is labeled with a price on the tank or on a master list in the front of the store. The owner is very personable and remembers my face even if I disappear for a few months. I have zero complaints about this store other than it should be a little closer to my home! Please do. I'm on a six month break from buying things, but they have a really cool torch that I like. Probably won't buy it as I'm trying to grow out my coral and stabilize my phosphates.

They used to be called Tropical Island Aquarium. I’d heard quite a few local reefers recommend them before, but I didn’t really start buying from them until they opened up their online shop and the auctions. I’ve ordered from them since then and have been to the store too, and their contact info has always been there from what I remember. The address and phone number are under Store Info on their website, and they have their email listed too. I usually just pull them up on Google Maps anyway and all the store info comes right up. They’re an actual saltwater store in Deer Park on Long Island, not just an online coral seller.
I’m local so I usually pick up and can’t really speak from personal experience on shipping, but I’ve seen a lot of good feedback on their online orders. A lot of ReefnBid auction sellers are in NY, but tbh I’m biased, TIA is probably my favorite. Their auctions can be really cheap, especially for the size and quality.
