Not a coral but anemone are tricky in new tanks. That can be a trend with most coral too. Once coraline becomes an issue rather than a welcome sight, most inhabitants do better.

I have dozens of mature Acropora colonies great color great PE yet for some reason zoas will just melt out of nowhere sometimes. I’ll never figure them out some spread like weeds some just melt
