I'm running a DAS EX-1. Ever since I moved it out of sight the return is pretty loud (lots of gurgling.) The main difference is that the skimmer is raised about 4 inches so that I could clear some of the plumbing.

Any tips to make this quieter?

My other issue, the needlewheel is missing two pins. Anyone thinks this could significantly reduce skimmer performance? The pump is a aquabee 2000/1 if it matters.

This is my first time using a external skimmer. My tunze has served me wheel and was a lot easier to setup. Almost makes me want to just pick up a second one.
