I just ordered this piece, want some tips
SS acro.jpg

What lighting will give it the best colour, I'm running LEDs.
I know everyone's getting into T5s again but not me, LEDs 4 life, so how can I keep it as happy as possible under LEDs.
How finicky is it, my nitrates are usually 0-5ppm, seeing how sometimes I like to feed my corals in large amounts, should I keep them at 0?
It's encrusted on the plug, as seen in the picture, so I'm not worrying about it receding.

Generally, what are the best conditions for it, to make sure it's as happy as possible?
How do you care for yours?

Well whatever it's called, I still think it looks really nice.
I didn't pay to much for it so I don't care what it's lineage is or whatever.
Thanks for the tips though, I hope it does really well!

I have mine about 12" directly under LEDs and it's doing great. Seems to like stable ALK between 8-9 KH

just treat it like any other acro and you should be good. high light, relatively low nutrients, lots of flow.

Thanks for the info! How are the colors?

My greens are amazing on some branches non existent on others. I think that's a chemistry issue though. My pinks are unbelievably gorgeous. I have the regular SSC though so it's a lighter shade than the on you have.

I don't "have" it yet, still waiting.
Weird how the branches vary, I wonder what causes it.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 100% agree with this
I've 3 variations of SSC and they all are slightly different but all love the flow and light-I've ran LEDs for nearly 5 years-T5 only on my acan tank

Well I'm pumped for it's arrival, now I've got a good idea of how I should care for it.

It arrived and I'm acclimating, it's pretty brown right now (except the base) with some green, but it's polyps were open (after sitting in the tank for a few hours), so this is probably from shipping stress (I know they can change colour drastically and quickly)
The guy gave me a free montipora too (besides my reainboww)! So that was awesome.

I can't wait to see it all colourful and happy in the tank!!!
