These have not been doing well over the last few years. Any idea what could cause this super slow decay of the frogspawn?
The rest of the 90 gallon is doing well. I do automatic water change of approximately 1.75 gallons a day.
They are under Mitras 7200s.

What are your parameters, and have you ordered an ICP test? To be clear, this exact colony hasn’t been doing well, or frogspawn in general have not been doing well? How do they normally die (ie. Melt, polyp bailout, BJD, etc.)? The frogspawn in the top left looks like it could have BJD (not good), but I would need to see a closer up image to be sure.

You've had the frogspawns for years? They still look like small frags. I would suggest to rent a par meter. I had a frogspawn go from one polyp to volleyball size in 4 years. If yours hasn't grown at all and generally not thriving, to me it sounds like a low light issue.

I hate to sound negative but it doesn’t look good. The best thing you could do is cut off the head that has died and dip in iodine. It appears to be a bacterial infection.

good questions:
1) icp test - Not recently. Every time I do An ICP all parameters are green except iodine. I no longer even check the parameters other than salinity and what the apex measures. The tank has been doing great for over 10 years. All except the frogspawns which just don’t grow any longer. Some SPS is literally growing out of the water.
My Geo calc reactor does need to be reworked however. The tubes are all in need of replacing.
2) yes just froggies. Closeup vid here
