False goldback trigger

So I recently bought a few Goldback triggers from 2 different online stores. I have had them a couple months and they are now grown enough to see color and pattern. Unfortunately these are not goldbacks at all they are common blue jaws! Has anyone else bought these and what has been your experience if so….

Yes, I have seen that recently as well. when the prices are very different between the two fish, it certainly seems suspicious.

Yea well I purchased them as goldbacks and it was a big price difference! I have contacted the company’s directly to see if they will do something before I just drop their name and cause issues that are not needed!

I hope u didn't spend too many green backs for the fugazi gold ones.

About a grand in the hole after 3! I guess on the bright side I did get a matching pair to bad they are blue jaws lol

I've seen a bunch of Niger triggers at my LFS but no bluethroats, been trying to get an aussie pair for my 120, though I'm having a hard time getting them out of Australia as most of them come from Indonesia:(
