I was talking on here to a few members about chalice growth so I figured I would just start a thread and post my experiences

I'll throw some of the other corals I have in there too. My rainbow yuma just threw out like four mouths!

Specs of the tank:
- 29 gallon bio cube
- JBJ Unibody 54w LED 20K
- Tropic Marin BIO ACTIF salt
- around .024 SG
- temp around 78

Sorry for the poor picture skills. From my phone.

Here is the whole tank

Update:

So its been an interesting adventure so far!

Chalices: mainly just new eyes popping up. but i did just notice a new eye pop up on my orenji so that is exciting! but im also starting to see slight growth colors showing on all of the chalices! I am very impatient though lol

Zoas/Palys: Idk what I do but every single zoa or paly I have explodes and grow like crazy. usually at least 2-3 heads pop up every week or two.

My rainbow yuma is popping up new heads left and right too. so far there are 4 baby heads. kind of look like majanos lol but im 99% sure they are yumas because they have the same color and as they get bigger they look more and more like big yumas

ill try to get some pictures up later

holy crap! so tonight I was looking at my tank when all the lights were blue and down low. One of my chalices caught my eye. it is green with a blue rim and has orange eyes. well it had its feeding tentacles out and they are this beautiful bright purple! its amazing! I tried to get a picture but was unable to. once it gets bigger ill definitely capture a picture

has anyone else ever had feeder tentacles with such a cool color

Nice looking corals!

I have a few chalices with pink, orange, or red feeder tentacles. They are definitely more appealing to watch during feeding, in comparison to most of the clear-tentacled ones.

I placed a nice sized order from unique corals! had to take advantage of the 20% off!

Im getting a Trops Overdose Chalice, A very nice blue, light blue, and red scoly, a very cool orchid stylo, an orange plating turbinaria, and some beautiful PNG palys.

I cant wait!

once I settle those in I will take some new pictures of everything including new growth pictures.

Great pics! Those last 2 look to me like a bubble gum and Miami hurricane.

Thanks! I want to get a nice camera instead of this iPhone

But Ya I've never gotta a good ID on the the green chalice. It seems to be more like an Oregon mummy eye maybe. The eyes are more orange and don't have the irregular shape eyes like the BGM does.

But I really have no clue everyone's guess is as good as mine
