Hi all, I think I got either an ultron favia or gi joe but can't tell, do you know if this is a named specimen?

Ultron has that yellow almost gold band in its coloration. So I would say not that.
I’m not sure what it is but not an Ultron as they are gold. Here is a pic of one I had

thanks all, yeah I see it now, the orange/gold is definitely missing from mine. to be honest, both varieties look virtually identically to me unless I "try" to distinguish them, I was mainly hoping it was ultron so down the road it'd be more valuable to frag >< Oh well it's still cool

Gi joe.

While there’s a thread active about ultron’s; has anyone had the gold ring disappear? Mine did after about 4 months in my tank, not sure why.

my GI Joe did the same thing. In my QT tank it lost it's green rings, which was a low light tank, and then after a few weeks in my DT (with more light and more blue light) the rings came back. I suppose it has to do with the coral adapting to the available spectrum... Do you have a lot of white light in your DT?

More than my frag tank, yea, my coral+ t5’s that turn on during peak are fairly white.
