My wife says, "The Strangers", which she made me watch one night. I am fairly certain there are better horror movies
My wife and I both love the original Jaws from about 1977, I think. We seriously watched that again just the other night.
We also both like The Shinning, both the original and the remake.
And, I don't know if this qualifies here, but my wife and I are both obsessed with a little story called, "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil". Admittedly, a bit more of a gratuitously gory comedy, but this is worth a watch for anyone that likes horror and comedy:

Maybe we should consider that this is a family site before we post too much here
