Feedback on MarinePure Ceramic Biomedia Plates!

I just currently bought a 8” x 8” x 1” Plate MarinePure plate to add to my sump! Just wondering if anyone uses these and where do you have yours placed in your sump?

I like Marine Pure and was going to use the spheres. The lfs only carries the plates, so I'm going to get one and break it up and make a pile of debris somewhere. Probably in the fuge compartment of my sump.
