i hve a fresh water tank i have had set up for 3 and half years now, its 40g, i keep goldfish in it that where meant to be feeders but i didnt feed them to any thing, there all very healthy, have gotten very big, but the only orange one in the tank seem to be having some issues, it seems to have lost both eyes some how, i seen the eyes when they started coming out but they did not look infected like i have seen in bulging eyes and other stuff, i ahve never had any issues with the fish in this tank before and only one fish has had any issues, i am mostly woundering if the fish could have just been poor quality wheni got it and its just causing it to have health issues now. sense no other fish in the tank is having any issues or showing any signs of the eye issue, the eyes when it lost them both they looked fine mostly but just like they had fell out of the fishes eye sockets some how like maybe someone punched it in the face to hard? i seen no signs of infection or any other issues.

ammonia is 0
nitrate is 5ppm

i should also point out i keep a calico bristlenose pleco inn the tank.

Pleco could have gotten it during the night but they are of low quality often having defects

i would think pleco to but this one never comes out at all not even at night i used to keep a water proof camera in the tank so i could go over the video when ever something happened to see if i can see what caused it, plus i justt like to watch the fish lol.

but the low quality and having defects is what this really feels like to me, other wise i feel like other fish would have issues, there about about 6 goldfish and 1 shunbunkin in the tank, i need to upgrade the tank later on cause the shunbunkin is going to out grow this tank big time

that said the blind gold fish seems fine overall, hangs out in the corner alot cause he cant see but he still eats wheni put food in the tank i always monitor him to make sure hes eating and not getting any new symptoms
