Is there any reason I should not be feeding sushi nori from the grocery store over nori packaged for fish food? Any worry about excessive amounts of phospahtes or nitrates? Only ingredients on package is organic seaweed.

It's the same stuff, likely prepared and packaged at the same factories imo or at least with the same machines. The perforations are always the same. Make sure it's unseasoned and check ingredients on the back. It should only say something like "seaweed" or "seaweed, kelp". I see no reason to pay a premium for "fish food" nori.

I've been using grocery store nori for years. Like others have said just get plain without seasoning.

i buy plain organic nori on amazon. been feeding it for awhile and no issues. Tangs and other fish love it.

Been using that same brand for a few years now with no problems.

Just make sure it's dried nori, as the same brand has flavors as added.
