So I've heard different things about when to feed. I want to know the benefits of both, and drawback. When should you broadcast feed you phytoplankten? Day or night? For me personally my corals feeder tentacles drawback at night but are fully extended during the day so which is it, feed when polyps are extended or at night as suggested by many?

Traditionally in nature phytoplanktons are photosynthetic, so are encountered during the day, therefore the things that eat phyto would eat it during the day. Zooplanktons would be fed at night.

Very few corals ingest phytoplankton. However, I still feed phytoplankton to my tank because it feeds zooplankton and bacterioplankton, both of which are utilized by corals.
