Feeding snails before fish

I have finished cycling about two weeks ago and I'm wanting to add clean up crew to my ten gallon FRAG tanks.

I am going to do trochus and turban snails to start. My question is, what can I feed the guys untill I put fish/coral in? Right now the lights aren't on so I think they'll eat the film algae that's currently in there fairly quickly

I'd buy just one first and see how quickly it can eat the algae. You could add them gradually as you need more. When are the lights going on?

I was planning on purchasing them online, but I could go to my LFS and see if they'll special order them for me. I'm going on vacation next week so I'll turn the lights on when I get home.

those (no flavor/additives added) seaweed/nori from grocery market might work.
