I am working on creating a better feeding regime for my reef. I stopped at the Asian market today and made a fresh batch of fish food using nori, pellets, fresh squid, clams, shrimp, and conch. Into the blender it went and it’s freezing in cubes now. I also stopped and got some seachem zooplankton. I have never fed zooplankton before but I have a very large zoo colony, several LPS, SPS, mini brittle stars and two hand sized brittle stars.

What is the best way to feed it? The directions say one cap full per 50 gallons twice a week. I have 70 gallons water volume so figured I start off with a cap full once a week but had some questions.

I want to feed at lights off I figured I would turn off my skimmer how long should the skimmer be off?

I have a DIY felt filter sock. Will the zooplankton pass through this ok? Or would I turn of the return pump for awhile also.
