What will you be using this fertilizer for?

I have used fertilizer for planted tanks but never SW tanks.

one of the dangers with fertilizers and aquariums is the nitrogen is probably ammonia derived from animal urea.
To me it much better to just use the fish urea in your tank.

If using it in your tank. Put it on a plastic sheet outside and have it really moist. Then dry it out.

Repeat this several times to break down any decomposing matter. Over a period of several weeks. Also take out any large objects.

I've got to believe the OP is using the fertilizer to grow phytoplankton.....instead of using Guillard F/2 formula. There are a ton of DIY recipes out there.

I always like new and unique uses of alternate products and processes and I say you try it. What do you have to loose....a 2 liter bottle of phyto?

Oh, and welcome to R2R. If you decide to use it, please document the specifics.....good stuff!

Did you end up trying the fertilizer, if so how did it turn out. I ran out of fertilizer and I’m in a pinch to feed my culture.
