Hello leather experts, any idea what this leather is? I ordered a Figi yellow and this is what came. The polyps opened within two days but it looks brown to me. Ps. This was ordered from Live Aquaria. Thanks

Give it time to color up. To me it looks like a Fiji yellow leather, it just needs to color up.
I sent them pictures, but everything I’ve read about the yellow Figi is that they take awhile to open up and it did in less than two days.

I had one, and it took awhile for it to get it's color back from shipping and getting used to a new environment. It's like alot of other corals, they loose color, plumpness, etc and just need time to adjust. Just think how hard it would be for you to be moved from Earth to Mars! They come from the Ocean, and have to travel many many miles from their birth place across the world. Their temps and everything else that were raised in is now foreign! It's a wonder that they can survive at all....Be patient....

I just received it January 8, 2019. Any idea when I could start to see a color difference? I use Hydra 26’s running the David Saxby preset. Live Aquaria has a 14 day guarantee so I have a little over a week left.

Ok, so he was moved up January 13th. No coloring up at all the same tan/brown look. Tomorrow is day 14 of the Live Aquaria guarantee should I contact them again?

I got a Fiji from them about 6 months ago. Have been moving it around since out of the QT. On the bottom it was darkish yellow/brown. But as I moved it up higher there is a much brighter yellow/tan cast to the coral. Took a few weeks for it to adjust to the brighter light but clearly likes being up high.
