What’s the inside dimensions of the cabinet? I’m trying to figure out if my current sump which has a 30” x 15” footprint would fit.

I just got the 57 ext over flow. I think the sump is a 20-24? On mine. I’m so confused on media and what I should do with it. Definitely doing a refugium and I have the DC 120 skimmer. I have a bio brick from microbactor and that’s all I have thought of so far lol. I’m upgrading from a 40 gallon overstocked breeder

Looks beautiful!!!!here is a shot of my sump. Just a heads up, i am not happy at all with this simplicity skimmer, like at all. The amount of microbubbles being thrown into my tank because it’s unbearable. Im giving it 2 more weeks before i change it for RSK300 or Nyos. I reached out to Simplicity, maybe they can help. I refuse to believe this thing is this bad. I have seen to many great reviews of it, hence why im giving it 2 more weeks. 183F6200-63F8-40FA-8BDB-32CAE7E33EED.jpeg 2D8A626D-BF9D-4746-BBC8-D2DF6AD630E6.jpeg

So I was told you can put cotton balls in it if you make one side a refugium before it goes up the cheato will catch them too.

We passed the water test onto cycling the tank we decided not to rush everything over from my 6 month old 40 gallon breeder with hand on back filter. You guys have taught me nothing good comes from rushing things. We got her all done here she is

FYI you should only have one Gate valve on the whole system placed on the main drain. The emergency drains should not have gate valves because they should always be wide open in case of….well emergency haha. Not sure why you added that extra gate valve but otherwise looks sweet. Keep that thing open at all times!

On another note, some people like the install the gate valve outside the cabinet close to the bottom of the external overflow box so you can visibly adjust the siphon. But both work!

I have two and then just not one for the emergency one I wish I added more values because I forgot the UV sterilizer and another one for the reactor. Ugh thank god I did enough unions I can get in there for them but the only thing I am not a fan of is really the size of the sump. If I had a do over I would of gotten one up from the 22 advance it works I might get a hob refugium.
